Ledger Live is the official desktop and mobile companion application for Ledger hardware wallets. Follow these simple steps to download and set up Ledger Live safely.
- Open this page on a trusted device and click the official Download button (choose Desktop or Mobile as needed).
- Choose your operating system (Windows / macOS / Linux) or install from the App Store / Google Play on mobile.
- Run the installer and launch Ledger Live.
- When prompted, connect your Ledger hardware wallet (Nano S, Nano S Plus, Nano X, etc.) and follow on-screen setup.
- Set a secure PIN on the device. Keep your 24-word recovery phrase offline and private — Ledger support will never ask you for it.

- Only download Ledger Live from the official Ledger website or official app stores.
- Verify the installer signatures if you were instructed to do so — Ledger publishes signature tools for this purpose.
- Never enter or transmit your recovery seed. Any app or page that asks for your seed phrase is fraudulent.

Troubleshooting common issues
If your device is not recognized, try switching USB cables or ports, making sure the device is unlocked, or installing the latest Ledger Live version. On macOS, be extra cautious of fake installers — only use official sources.
